Lennon 5 weeks

Lennon is 5 weeks old and holding her own at 8lbs 14 oz! 

 She drinks 3 oz of formula at a time and is an excellent nighttime sleeper.  

Most people still say she looks a lot like Wesley (and I totally agree).  She still has her angel kiss on the bridge of her nose and back of her neck.  Her hair may carry a bit of red (wishful thinking) like mine. She definitely let's us know when she is hungry and needs some attention.  I love me this baby girl!!

Bigger girl room

 With Baby Lennon's arrival, it required the moving of bedrooms, furniture and creating a bigger girl room for Grayson.

 She now sleeps in a new full size bed and is happy to be rid of the Pottery Barn matchy, matchy bedding she had for so many years.  This time she opted for a few floral patterns and turquoise walls.  Thanks to Dedra for making the cute pillow shams and pillowcases!  

Her other favorite items...the desk and furry chair.  She hasn't managed to do too much homework at the desk yet but she sure likes the cork board to hang all of her papers and pics on!

Go Cats!

 At just 19 days old Baby Lennon skipped her first KSU football opportunity and opted to watch the CATS tromp the Jayhawks from the warmth of her home (as did her whole family!)  Nonetheless, she sported her "Born a Wildcat" shirt

 and hair bow that was almost as big as her head!

Family Birthday and Meet Miss Lennon

 Had all the family here the 23rd to celebrate Grayson's birthday (Sept 12) and Wesley's birthday (Oct 18) and meet the new baby. Was a gorgeous day filled with pizza, cupcakes, games and a wonderful family.

 This is the game that Wesley made up.  We all had to wear a color coded sticker and put the pieces of the "puzzle" together.  When they were sorted out they spelled "Lennon is so cute!"  Yes, Wesley we sure think she is!!

So I snuck my induction date past most people and headed to the hospital at 7am on September 17th.  We didn't even tell the kids until that morning and just wanted to focus on getting our much anticipated new little girl here.  I know I still need to follow up on our pregnancy journey with this sweet thing but as you can tell (its 3 weeks since her birth and I'm just now posting) life is just a bit crazy busy!!

 Our sweet baby girl, Lennon (name finally picked out of the 21 that we took to the hospital-who has time to talk about baby names when you have 3 other kids???...my labor day was the most peaceful day I had had in months!! ) Lucille (after my maternal great grandmother) arrived at 4:51 pm weighing
7 lbs 2 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  

Once again blessed with the best labor and delivery and baby nurses around!!

Had great support from dad too (until he came down with Rocky Mountain spotted fever the following day!)  Feel so blessed to have this little one complete our family although if I didn't have to carry a baby for 9 months I would TOTALLY have more!

Headed home...let the chaos begin...I mean continue!!

Vanessa wins!

Vanessa and Nick win!  They delivered their baby boy Camden John on September 12th (Grayson's birthday).  Not that I really care about this but since I posted a pic of her and my pregnant bellies I thought I should at least acknowledge the birth of her son.  Congrats to them and I can't wait til my baby is born this week!!
