A reason to celebrate

Treated Grandma Erika to a tasty meal at Harry's in honor of her 89th birthday coming up on January 22nd.  This woman so amazes me with her work ethic and great attitude and boundless energy.  A little german girl taken from her family to work in an underground ammunition factory, then forced to be a maid and housekeeper for a military officer and their 5 kids.  She ran away from that job and went on to marry an American soldier (my grandpa) and move to the states.  She worked up until a few years ago and still gets up daily to go to the YMCA to swim and then walks her dog 2 miles a day...EVERYDAY!  She gave me my passion for animals and makes me smile every time I think of her.  Cant imagine life without her!! Here's to many more healthy years!!
