Washington D.C.

Took an awesome trip to DC with the bigs the first weekend of June.

Had a pit stop in Milwaukee and tried on some "cheese heads"

We were there visiting my goddaughter Ashton.  She was graduating from high school and we wanted to help celebrate!
Ashton is going to the UMass on a full ride scholarship for softball.
While we were visiting Ashton and her traveling team, The Vienna Stars, played in a "local" tournament (about 2 hours away...guess that is local for DC!)
The bigs got to be part of the team and were spoiled by Miss Gay (Ashton's mom and their godmother) with their own team shirts.  The team also made them feel welcome by including them in their team chant and letting them hang in the dugout.

The girls did lots of swimming in their pool
...this was my view from my bedroom (now we have to add inground pool to the list of "must have's" in our next house!)
Graduation day!  So proud of Ashton!
Did the touristy thing on our last day.  Didn't really have enough time
to go in but had to stop for a photo op!
Took an open air tourbus so that we could see all of the sights and now we so look forward to another visit soon!  So much history in one area!
Thanks to our great friends for being such awesome hosts!  We love you!!
